The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) releases its full report on the Stephenville sightings of January 8th, 2008

Radar data obtained by MUFON confirms that there were Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) flying above Stephenville, Texas, January 8th, 2008, just as many eyewitnesses had reported and which made headlines worldwide.

MUFON’s analysis of the radar data obtained through freedom of information act (FOIA) requests to the National Weather Service and the FAA show that unknown flying objects were on a direct course to President Bush’s Crawford ranch and were separate from the known F-16 jets the same radar data confirmed were flying in the area that night.

The unknown radar targets, which did not have required identification transponders, exhibited strange flight characteristics beyond that of known civilian or military aircraft.

A press conference to explain MUFON’s findings in complete detail will be held on Friday, July 25th, 2008 at 11 am at the Double Tree Hotel in San Jose, California, in conjunction with MUFON’s annual Symposium.

I was driving from the A42/M42 towards Bardon Hill quarry 0n June 11, 2008, at 3 PM, and in the sky ahead was a silvery disk. It was stationary then moved rapidly to the left then further to the right then ascended up and out of sight. I would put this object at 10000 feet. There was a passenger plane at cruising altitude above and a helicopter about half a mile away. I’m sure they would have seen it.

A Royal Navy aircraft engineer allegedly spotted a disc shaped UFO hovering over the major highway M-5 between Manchester and London. Michael Madden, 25, said he watched in disbelief as the disc-shaped object floated above his head before it “zoomed off at incredible speed”. He said the unidentified flying object flew for up to three minutes above junction 21 of the M5, near Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. Mr Madden was on his way back from Manchester with colleague Michael Casson, 22, at 9.50 PM on Sunday June 29 when he saw the suspected ‘extra-terrestrial’ craft.

CARDIFF – Seems the U.K. is having an upswing in reported UFO sightings. With the major UFO event that just took place where a police helicopter was involved in a UFO incident. Of course I would certainly like to hear from anyone observing UFO sightings in the U.K. Also anyone knowing anything about this recent major sightings. KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA – My husband was awake around 2:30 AM, on June 14, 2008, when he looked out our bedroom window which faces southwest when he saw a green ball cross the sky going from west to east. At first he thought someone was lighting fireworks because of the green color but the object didn’t fall to the ground, it went straight across the sky and disappeared.

My wife and I were outside in our backyard at 9:30 PM  when we saw eight orange/yellow lights in a perfect chevron or triangle shape 15 kilometers SW of Toronto International Airport. The lights were flying in a perfect V or chevron shape similar to how geese fly. There was one exact same light flying just to the right of the formation all heading north. The lights were pale yellow/orange and did not blink or flash. The lights were three times bigger than airplane lights, but not as bright.The flight path was smooth and consistent and took about 20 seconds to cross the sky.

I was sitting at my computer editing some earlier UFO footage/pictures when I looked out my front window and saw a black bar sitting over downtown Vancouver. It began to rotate, slowly, and hide in the light clouds that day. This was the first time I had seen an object shaped like this one. If it was a saucer then I could only see the edge or side of it throughout the entire sighting which lasted for around 20 minutes. I stepped outside on to my balcony and called for it to come over and it did. When the UFO was closer I asked it to show me some lights and a clear twinkling light passed slowly across the blackness joined by another light.

Every time I lifted the camera to take a photo the ship would power down and the black bar would get very thin and the lights would cease. Then I would lower my arm and it would power up again. Out of 75 photos there is only one that shows some detail. There was also a small sphere nearby and the sighting ended with the UFO simply fading out.

SAO PAULO –  Mr. Roberto Rabelo saw a huge UFO over the city of Cubatao, São Paulo. He reported that when he arrived at the Water Treatment Station, there were three other witnesses watching the phenomenon.  “It was around 12:58 AM, when I looked to the north and saw the UFO at a low altitude.”  “One of the operators said that it could be a short-circuit in a nearby energy tower.  We climbed the tower and realized that it was not a conventional aircraft.  “The UFO was higher!”  “The UFO had a red light on top and three other red lights below it, in a triangular shape.  The lights did not blink.  Seconds later, between the red lights, there were hundreds of white flashes!  Then all disappeared. “I estimate that the UFO was bigger than a soccer field.” Once again the UFO appeared, but this time when the flashing lights turned off, another object like a yellow ball came out.  The UFO appeared again for a third time, and we were able to see a “triangular shadow” behind it.  The sighting lasted for 20 minutes.

” I have taken special interest in these (UFO) accounts because many of the latest reported sightings have been made in my home state of Michigan…Because I think there may be substance to some of these reports and because I believe The American people are entitled to a more thorough explanation than has been given them by the Air force to date, I am proposing either the Science and Astronautics Committee or the Armed services Committee of the House, schedule hearings on the subject of UFOs and invite testimony from both the executive branch of the Government and some of the persons who claim to have seen UFOs…In the firm belief that the American public deserves a better explanation than that thus far given by the Air Force, I strongly recommend that there be a committee investigation of the UFO phenomena. I think we owe it to the people to establish credibility regarding UFOs and to produce the greatest possible enlightenment on this subject.”

Ford’s letter was passed on to the House Armed Services committee and the House Science and Astronautics Committee in hopes that one of the two groups would hold hearings. Neither would do anything to start. One member of the Science and technology Committee explained that as he knew the Air Force didn’t come under his jurisdiction. Ford then asked the committee if flying saucers were under their jurisdiction and received no reply. The Armed Services Committee on the other hand thought that there might be troubles holding hearing. It had been tried before and never took place. The House Committee on Foreign Affairs did take up the issue in response to the call for hearing made by Ford. It was not the full hearings that Ford had asked for but it was an airing of the issue in public. Committee representative Cornelius E. Gallagher had questions for President Johnson’s Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara.
McNamara stated: Of course we have an interest in it. We treat each of these reports as though it were a report of a sincere individual, and we seek to find the explanation of what it was that led to the report. It is our responsibility to defend the country against potential aggressors. We don’t know what form the aggression might take. We recognize the possibility that it might take a different form than anyone has anticipated in the past. I have complete confidence in the Air Force’s objectivity in this area. If anything the investigations are more extensive than actually required.

Gallagher: Is there anything at all to any of this? McNamara: I think not. I have talked to the Secretary of the Air Force and the (AF) Director of Research and Engineering, and neither of them place any real credence in the reports they have received to date. Snip Thanks to Frank Warren

SENATOR JOHN McCAIN INTERESTED IN UFOs

William P. LaParl reports that on Fox News, February 29,2000, at 12:45 PM EST during a live feed: John McCain was just asked a question about the lawsuit from Peter Gersten to open UFO records from the military?  Before the news people pushed McCain into laughing with them about “aliens,” surprisingly, McCain immediately said he was “very interested in the subject,” and mentioned a series of Arizona sightings from a couple years ago that remained “unexplained.”  Apparently, these were the- Phoenix “V” Lights of March 1997.  Thanks to Bill La Parl. wil247@mix-net.net.
